Stage 01
A review is submitted
Anyone with a free account can review any business — invited or not. Invited reviews carry a transaction reference from the start.
How it works
Five stages stand between a submitted review and the score you rely on. Here is each one, in the open.
Stage 01
Anyone with a free account can review any business — invited or not. Invited reviews carry a transaction reference from the start.
Stage 02
Before publication, automated checks look at device and network signals, submission velocity, text patterns, and account history. 83% of removals happen here, in seconds.
Stage 03
Clean reviews go live — typically within minutes. Verified-purchase reviews carry the badge. The business is notified and can respond publicly.
Stage 04
Any reader or business can flag a review. Flags route to human moderators; community reports drive 17% of removals and every decision can be appealed.
Stage 05
Once a year, our transparency report discloses removals, warnings, and our false-positive rate — including where we got it wrong.
